To the Editor:
The Teen Advocates for Health Awareness (TAFHA) and their advisors sponsored a third grade health fair May 7. We had great community involvement for which we would like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank each one.
Presenters were Sue Frew, RN, Health Educator from the Carroll County Health Department; Mindy Aylward, RN, Akron Children’s Hospital; Bev Frase, RN, Terry Bartsch, RN, Connie Leggett, RN, Patrick Snyder, representing Aultman Hospital; Dana Keyser, RDH, Penny Henry, CDA and Traci Spahr, CDA of Dr. Berg, Dr. Birong and Dr. Chamblee’s dental office.
All the children were given a bag of items that related to health and fitness. Those who donated items from various organizations and businesses, we would also like to recognize and thank are: Jobes Pharmacy, Ashton’s Ben Franklin, Rite Aide, Thorne’s Market Place, Carroll County WIC and Tuscarawas County WIC, Emergency Medical Transport of Carrollton, Mercy Medical Care Center of Carroll County, Aultman Hospital and Drs. Berg, Birong and Chamblee. Thank you. Without your contributions and support this health fair would not be possible.
