Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
On behalf of Hospice of Carroll County, we would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support of the third annual Hospice tea and sytle show, “Diamonds in the Rough.”

Thanks to John Schaffer, emcee, the civic-minded men in our community who served as waiters, and their families who gave up Sunday plans to support us, Mrs. Mach and the CHS Club of Carrollton High School, the girls from Carroll Hills and all the models, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for their continuing support, The Free Press Standard for promoting community awareness of our program, Walsh University for providing staging for the third year and especially the Style Show Committee, who donated countless hours preparing and presenting the show and other hospice volunteers who donated time to the show. Many thanks to all those who donated materials, supplies and food for the event. Also, thanks to the volunteers from the Hospice Browse & Buy Store for sorting and selecting the clothing for the show.

The funds raised from this event support hospice patient care in Carroll County. Hospice of Carroll County is associated with Hospice of Tuscarawas, Stark and Carroll Counties and provides hospice care, palliative care and bereavement services to patients and families in the east central Ohio area. Patients and their families are never billed for hospice services.

The support of this event and other fundraisers in the community will allow us to continue to provide quality hospice care to our patients in Carroll County and the surrounding area. We hope to see everyone at the tea next year.
