To the Editor:
Headline from the LA Times last week, “take back Al Gore’s Oscar, 2 Academy members in light of Climategate.”

The Climate Research Unit (CRU) from the University of East Anglia, London, had their e-mails exposed from the last 10 years. This prominent contributor to the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has disturbing e-mails. They talk about deleting or hiding global cooling data, then adding erroneous climate data to their computer models and reports to show there is warming. Many of these e-mails expose prominent governmental agencies worldwide copulating with this manipulation of the data.

In the U.S., Keith E. Trenburth of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), stated, “the fact is we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty.” Professor Michael Mann, creator of the hockey stick graph, from Penn State University, Tom Wigley, climate scientist at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (NOAA) Climate Data Center, James Hanson and Gavin Schmidt of NASA’s Goddard Institute have all been involved with this scandalous manipulation and suppressing of climate data that does not meet their ideology. Investigations are ensuing.

Our government leaders, including the President, are ignoring this revelation and are still pushing for cap and trade regulation and a Copenhagen Climate Treaty to stop the so-called Global Warming. Wake up America! It’s a scam to take billions or trillions of our dollars and our representatives in Washington know this and are still pressing on.
