To the Editor:
I would like to thank the Task Force Committee members of the Carroll County National Day of Prayer for the dedication they show in making the day of prayer successful year after year.
Barb Walton heads up the committee, coordinates all the appointments by personal contact with county commissioners, village council and the Carroll County Ministerial Association. She arranges with the schools for prayer around the flagpole and gets press releases to the newspapers. She is the backbone of our committee and deserves a big thank you along with Sandy Naugle. Sandy coordinates the evening concert of praise service. She, along with John Schaffer, Randy Reed, Kerry Green and the group “The Redeemed” led us into the presence of the Lord with their music. Thanks to the First United Methodist Church for the loan of their sound system.
Thank you to the Ministerial Association for conducting the noon event and supporting us in our endeavor to make the day a success and especially to all who came to the village square to pray along side us to read the Bible.
Bonnie Little and Chris McLean, also members of the committee, are a big help with setting up and tearing down equipment and making sure we are focused and stay on track with our goals. Thanks to Mario DeCarlo for erecting the sign and hanging the banner at the gazebo.
If I missed anyone who helped, I do apologize.
Last, but not least, our sincere thanks and appreciation goes to The Free Press Standard for the coverage you allowed us in the newspaper.
