To the Editor:
I would like to comment on the recent activity at the Carroll County Dog pound. I do not wish to place blame on the adopter or adoptee, but offer a solution to the problem. These animals are unwanted. They have been dropped off or picked up as strays. I can hardly believe a person adopting a pet from a shelter, dog pound or rescue would want to breed these animals and create further unwanted pets. My suggestion is to check with surrounding shelters, pounds or rescues and put in place a policy regarding spaying and neutering these animals prior to adoption.
