Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
On a recent trip to town, approximately eight miles, we counted road kills and found two skunks, three squirrels, three coon, two cats, one dog, two possum, one rabbit, three that I don't know what they were and 14 deer carcasses, most of which had been lying there for weeks. They not only stink, but are ugly to look at. This is an ugly mark on Carroll County to many who come to visit our historical sites and many recreational areas. Shouldn't the game commission and county work together to keep these cleaned up?

While in Carrollton traveling on Canton Rd., we saw several walkers who were walking in the streets and on lawns to get to the many businesses located in that area. In this time of trying to save on fuel and for health reasons, many more will be walking. How about some sidewalks, Carrollton?
