Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
I wish to express my love for our small town and its people. I want to thank the 250 patriots who attended our 9/11 Remembrance event this year and thank all those who made it possible.

Thanks to the CHS JROTC, VFW, Libby Brooks, Ali Graham, Brody Robinson, Larry Walker, Tomas and Teaque Malone, Tracey and Calab Weller, the janitorial staff at CHS, Charles Pearson, Rick Eddy, Pastor Mike Doak, Allan Furbee, Thorne’s IGA, McDonald’s, John and Belinda Mach, Al Kemerer for all their memorabilia, the gang at Gordon’s Graphics, The Free Press Standard, Leigh Ann Rutledge, Rich Jones of JoMac, Todd and Lisa Miller of Columbus for providing a great mini concert featuring the National Anthem, American Soldier, Arlington and  The Angry American Song complete with a confetti cannon that exploded over the crowd for the grand finale.

Next year I will be joining forces with Julia Strawder to help with the rebuilding of the Vets Pool and Community Center. Please support her efforts as you supported my cause in the past.

Lisa Walker
