To the Editor:
WISH ON EVERYTHING was the theme of the 3rd Annual Run for Rosie.  Our Relay for Life Team had 425 register to run and 383 cross the finish line of the 5k and our team collectively raised approximately $18000 in sponsors, fees, donations, etc. throughout the last year. We used some funds to purchase banners that we can continue to use yearly.  We had 68 participants from the Carrollton Run for God, a group sponsored by Greenbrier Church and Dellroy Christ Community Church that started 12 weeks before the run to prepare through a walk/running program and bible study lead by Amy Risaliti and Bill Rosenberger, I also believe there  was another local Run for God group that prepared separately.  We were blessed by Zeta sisters of Roselyn's from ONU again, the Carrollton Warrior Football team and coaches, soccer team and some cross country runners that registered on their own also any other Carrollton athletes, a lot of Roselyn's family, friends, community members and simply just people that like to walk, run and compete, along with people specific to the Subway Challenge Series.  Once again RS Racing Systems did a fine job timing our race, they patiently waited for the final participant to cross and the crew even said how rewarding and encouraging this group is to one another!

We would like to thank our sponsors:  K-B.A.D. Jenkins (Ken-Bob-Ashley-David), Rex Energy, Carroll County Farm Bureau, McFadden Insurance, Diamond T Fencing, Frontier Communications, Rosebud Mining Co, ANJ, Bear Electric, Beaver Creek Sheet Metal, Bennett Homes, Eileen Andric, Jimmy’s Backyard BBQ/Gionino’s Pizzeria, Jones Tax Solutions, Pine Hill Auto, The Dan Spilker Family, Tinlin’s Print on Things, Vision Wireless Communications, Weir Trucking, Advanced Landscaping, Aultman Fitness & Therapy, Braces’ LLC, Carrollton Country Flowers, Carroll County YMCA, Carrollton Eagles, Charles Trawinski, Dale's Lawn Care, Fair Vision Inc., Great Trail Care Center, Griffeth & Son Trucking, Guess Motors, Inc., H.J. Schodorf and Associates, Inc, Herrington Farms, Jobes Pharmacy, King Performance, Minerva Eldercare, Okey Law Office, Reflections Hair & Image Center, Shingleton Custom Homes, Inc., The Depot Bar & Grille, Wilson Photo Jenic Photography

A special thank you to Beth Kruprzak for donating the HOPE quilt which was won by  Linda Moreland.  Beth puts a lot of time into this project and donates it out of love for Roselyn and Linda.  This year family and friends helped and that made it even more special.  The quilt raised approximately $1500 this year.

We greatly appreciate: Mark Walters and The Boy Scouts along with Eddie McLean and the security crew for guiding our runners and keeping them safe along the route.   Thanks to Eric McCort for hopefully starting a Carrollton Football tradition, we had over 30 players participate, next year we would like to start a competitive Carrollton vs Minerva trophy based on run times! Thanks to the CHS Cheerleaders, Freshman 4-Hers and community members along the route for cheering on our runners! Thanks to Dan Wells, Roselyn's running coach for starting our race. Thanks to Carrollton PD and Sheriff Department for helping on the route, hopefully with our growing numbers next year we can try and get one side of the road closed for safety.  Thanks to the Carroll County Farm Bureau for joining us this year with water bottles, bananas, apples and cheese sticks; Bobbi Jo Tinlin, Dale Tinlin, Diane Wirkner, Angie and Courtney Maurer from Great Trail Care Center for handing out the subs and snacks, etc., and helping with shirts.  Thanks Aultman Fitness and Therapy for the Aultman Bags and running our half way water spot, third year in a row! Way to go Zane for staying up all night with the Boyscouts and yet still loving us enough to run Greenbrier’s water spot, you ROCK!

This Race brings so much joy to our hearts, all we ever really wanted to do was tell people what an inspiration our Rosie Girl was to ALL of us-MISSION ACCOMPLISHED 3 years in a row and we will be back next year!!!   Run for Rosie is a run that EVERYONE leaves feeling like a hero...smiling from ear to ear..just as Rosie would want!  As I said at the awards closing...life is too short~~sing in the car at the top of your lungs, dance in the rain, forgive someone, smile at a stranger and NEVER EVER STOP BELIEVING!  We are so very glad that you came out and helped us celebrate more birthdays, WISHING on everything!  We live in an amazing community that gives a lot of love and support and we HOPE you know how much we appreciate it!  We HOPE next year we grow even bigger, it is exciting to see such a positive event in our community, hopefully bringing in some additional weekend business!
