Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
I would like to congratulate and thank the people and businesses of our community. Let me explain.

For several years this community has been supporting Boy Scout Troop 141’s annual ham dinner. We don’t know the exact number of years it has been going on, but it’s been several.

That being said we just celebrated 71 years of being chartered by the First United Methodist Church so that does mean the great people of this community have been exposed to a Boy Scout Troop for that many years.

We would like a special Thanks to go out to CHS, Kitty Weir, cook Theresa, custodians Phil and Bruce, Thorne’s Market and Robert Stewart, who is our charter rep from the Methodist Church.

Also a special thank you to all the businesses that donated items for the silent auction which got larger this year.

Our dinner was a great success even with all the snow we had that Monday. I’m happy to say I live in this community.

Thank you. Sincerely,
Mark W. Walters
Scoutmaster Troop 141
