To the Editor:
On June 26, 190 Alamo Rd., LLC announced to the Carroll County Park District they would be closing Stonehouse Tavern and Marketplace businesses, located at Bluebird Farm Park, effective June 30.
The Parks Board and staff are truly disappointed by this turn of events. We want to assure the public this does not mean the parks are closing.
Bluebird Farm Park grounds will continue to be open to the public dawn to dusk daily. Susie’s Museum of Childhood will be open for tours during park office hours Tuesday through Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. or by appointment. All Hannon Hall facilities will be available for use and may be reserved by calling the Park District office at 330-627-8046. The office is located in Bluebird Farm Park, 190 Alamo Rd. SE, Carrollton on the third floor of the gift shop building.
Carroll Community Park trails and shelters are also open dawn to dusk. Electrical work has been completed on the picnic shelters and additional improvements are being planned.
Public input is critical to developing any community resource and your parks are no exception. Please plan a visit soon and stroll the trails, view the gardens, reconnect with nature and share your ideas with us.
Hope to see you soon!
Carroll County Park District Board and Staff
