To the Editor:
The workers in the 18th district are getting dizzy from the swirling winds of Congressman Space.  Last year, Space voted for Cap and Trade, which would regulate greenhouse gases and control every aspect of our lives.  The CBO reported that this bill would cause significant job loss in many industries including coal mining, transportation, oil production, and construction.  Space denied this report and claimed that jobs would not be lost.  Therefore, Space voted for it.

Now, on his web page, Space has done a flip flop and vows to fight against all attempts by the EPA to regulate greenhouse gases.  He now admits that regulating greenhouse gases would put “farmers, miners, and everyone in Southeastern Ohio at risk”.  In fact, Space claims that it would even “suffocate business”.  However, last year he was willing to do just that through Cap and Trade.  Last year he claimed that regulating greenhouse gases would not harm the 18th district and this year he claims it would.  Are you dizzy yet?

Space’s votes indicate the only job he is trying to protect is his own.  Whichever direction the political winds blow is the direction he votes.  Last year Space thought the political winds were blowing in his favor and damn the worker.  Currently, the political winds have changed and Space is back peddling.  For how long, only he knows.

Since change is in the air, I believe we need to retire Space before he retires our jobs.
