To the Editor
The Carroll County Caregiver Coalition would like to take this time to thank Ponderosa for letting us hold two Monday Night fund raisers and donating a portion of the meal sales from those evenings to our Caregiver's dinner.

In addition to the Ponderosa donation, we held raffles and 50/50 drawings both evenings. The winners of prizes Jan. 14 were Cyndi Boyer, who received a Valentines basket, and Kim Link of the Carroll County Visiting Nurses Association who donated her 50/50 winnings back.

The March 17 winners were Ira Campbell, Easter basket; Kim Cichon, tulip basket, and Christine Dalton, 50/50 drawing. Thank you to Great Trail for donating the holiday basketball for each night and to the Carroll County Veterans Club and Auxiliary for donating the Mamah's homemade basketball full of flowers, candles, goodies and two complimentary dinners.

Thank you to everyone that came out and ate both evenings as we will receive a portion of your meal cost towards our event.

If you are not familiar with the Caregiver's Coalition, we are a group of volunteers from different agencies that collect donations and door prizes from the area so that we may provide a "free" appreciation dinner for the Caregivers of Carroll County. This year's dinner will be held Thursday, Apri1 10, at the Days Inn.

We offer the Caregiver a few hours of relaxation, lunch, door prizes and also entertainment which will be provided by the Carrollton High School Show Choir directed by Cheri Miller.

If you know someone that is a Caregiver, please give them our contact information. A caregiver is “someone that is currently taking care of/or previously took care of a family member or friend”. A caregiver is not someone hired by an agency. The recipient of the care may be currently residing in the home, in a long term care facility or deceased. The caregiver or recipient must be or have been a Carroll County resident.

If you would like a reservation for the dinner or would like to nominate someone for Caregiver of the Year, call 1-800-932-7277 ext 319 (Laurel). If you would like to make a donation or offer a door prize call 330-627-2571 (Tonya) for pick up.

Thank you to the caregivers of Carroll County and thank you to our community for your donations and support.
