To the Editor:
I recently read a letter to the editor written by Jeanette Moll of Zanesville. It was in the Nov. 26 edition of The Free Press Standard. Those of you who missed it, I suggest you read it. Jeanette hit the nail on the head.
Before I begin, I would like to clear the air; my wife and I are registered Independent voters. We owe no allegiance to either political party. My wife and I voted for some Democrats in the last general elections. I’m sorry to say that of those my wife and I voted for, only a couple are doing a good job. One of those doing a good job is Sheriff Dale Williams. We did not vote for our current President. The main reason for this was he carried too much bad baggage with him - Acorn to name one, and another Rev. Wright. We didn’t vote for the challenger either. As a veteran, I respected his service to our country but was not satisfied with him as a candidate or a U.S. Senator.
Our Congressman, Zack Space, has been a disappointment and he isn’t the only one. There is a sign on SR 332 south on the left. Read it. It’s good!
The liberal Democrats in the Congress and Senate have lied to the Labor Unions and the American public. They have betrayed us. Ask anyone who is a union person who recently retired from General Motors.
Our President was recently awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. For what? For telling the world how screwed up the United States is? There are so many weird ideas coming out of Washington that it’s hard to keep up with them. The game plan is to keep everyone confused.
The authors of all this weirdness and confusion are Harry Ried, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and, of course, our own Zack Space. How about Cap and Trade, Health Care Reform, Medicare cuts to help pay for Health Care Reform? Sound crazy? It is. And, please Mr. Space, quit sending me literature telling me what a good job you are doing on Health Care. It’s a waste of time and money! I’m going to lose under this plan. What about me? Thank God I’m an Independent voter!
