Letters to the Editor

To the editor:
I would like to thank the residents of the new 95th Ohio House District for electing me to represent them. I am honored to be your state representative starting in January 2013. The new 95th District includes portions of Washington and Belmont counties and all of Carroll, Harrison and Noble counties. Regardless of whether you voted for me or even if you didn’t vote at all, I will work hard to address your concerns and to resolve any problems you call to my attention. If there is nothing I can do, I will try to point you in the right direction for a solution or someone else who can help. I will always be accessible to you and, even if we disagree, I will treat you with honesty and respect.

Depending on your perspective, elections can either be inspiring or disappointing. Now that the election is over, it’s time to work together to make Ohio the best it can be. I want to engage all residents in that process. My work for you is about creating opportunity, strengthening our communities, enabling individuals to reach their full potential and igniting an economic comeback. We have the tools at our disposal and together we can put those tools to work.

No one does any of this on their own and I welcome your input and prayers. We can achieve great things if we approach them with humility and a strong work ethic. That’s what I promise to do and your assistance will be indispensible to accomplishing that mission.

Andy Thompson
Ohio House District 95
Marietta, OH
