To the Editor:
The Carroll County Humane Society would like to thank all those who helped with our annual yard sale. We made enough money to spay seven female cats and neuter three male cats.
A special thanks to Marlana, Elizabeth, Lorrie and JoAnn for all the donations, and Ruth, Kathy, Jim, Diane and Dick for helping set up and tear down.
A female cat can have as many as five litters a year with an average of 5-7 kittens in each litter. She can get pregnant as young as four months. The cat over population is pandemic. Sheltering can not help this problem; only spaying and neutering can help. Please be responsible: spay and neuter.
