To the Editor:
The Carrollton Warrior Football Team and Coaching Staff would like to thank all those that came out to the first annual Community Day at Community Field and supported both the Carrollton Warrior Marching Band and the football team.
The purpose of Community Day was not to watch a football game or the Marching Band, but to have an opportunity where every member of our community could come to our beautiful stadium and enjoy a day with their family. There were many different games and events that took place during Community Day and we are hoping that each year this will grow to become an annual tradition.
I would like to personally thank Dave Dickerhoof, CHS Band director, for his continued support and dedication to our school district. He has truly made the CHS Marching Band the Pride of Carroll County. I would also like to thank Knicker’s Sports Bar and Grill and Jimmy’s Backyard BBQ for coming out and feeding the community. We are very lucky to have businesses in our community that love our youth and are always willing to support them. I would also like to thank all of the Football Moms for working this event and helping it become a success. No one can do it like Moms can!
Lastly, I would like to thank Tiffany Stragan. She is such an amazing example of hard work and dedication. Without her insight and commitment, none of this would have been possible. Tiffany, you continue to amaze us on how much you love our boys and are willing to go the extra mile for them.
Eric McCort, Head Coach
and the Carrollton Warrior Football Team
