Dear Editor:
The Carroll County Youth League (CCYL) would like to take a moment and thank all of our wonderful sponsors for the 2013 season:

Sweeney Dodds Funeral Home, Braces Sales/Service/Installation, McBane Insurance, Sherrodsville – The Fields, Bear Electric, Golden Protective Services, Creative Photo, Rinkes Insurance, Camp Aldersgate, Guess Motors, Caldwell Roofing, Augusta Masons, Heritage Plastics, McCort’s Footwear, Ashtons Foundation and 5 & 10 Store, Burgett Roll-Off, Huebner Chevrolet and Chevy Youth Baseball, RK Construction, Ronnie Jenkins, Raymond James Financial Service – Gary Nist, Justin Haislip State Farm Agency, JB Designs – Julie Broadwater, Maag Consulting – Kristen Maag, Carrollton Church of Christ (Christian Disciples), Carrollton Fair Board (Carroll County Agricultural Society), Ace Hardware, Grady Rentals, Thorne’s Market, Wagner Excavating, Darrell Shafer, Carrollton High School Baseball Players – Storm Mohn, Zach Fry, Trent Leggett and Adam Warner, Judy Grove for managing all equipment and supplies for the entire league, Tournament Support staff, Coaches, parents and players.

2013 marked a special year for the Carroll County Youth League. We welcomed back Bergholz into our league, accomplished our goal of building dugouts at the fairgrounds facilities, completed our second year of outfield treatment and over-seeding, provided a new storage shed and tools for all Carrollton T-ball and Coach Pitch fields, provided new infield dirt for Augusta and Dellroy fields, field marking lime for all 19 teams. CCYL grew from 14 teams in 2012 to 19 teams in 2013, over 195 total games were played in five towns.

A new online tool was created to streamline communication between players, parents and coaches (www.ccylbaseball.org).

Without our community support as well as all of the aforementioned sponsors, parents, coaches and players, we would not exist. With that said, THANK YOU! We are excited to share new ideas for 2014 as well as new growth in our program.

Chuck James
CCYL President
