To the Editor:
Why are the Carrollton Speech and Drama Boosters and parents trying to stop the CEVSD auditorium from being turned into a cafeteria for the BHMS?

It comes down to money, time and resources.  The Drama Boosters do not want to give up what we have until we know what will replace it.  The administration seems to think we should trust them blindly and when pressed on specifics, they dissemble.  They have told us that the promises of past administrations are worthless.  Our appeals to the board went unanswered.  We are committed to a workable solution that will help the administration while maintaining the quality of our program.

What we are asking is reasonable:
1. Who will be responsible for the construction of the stage modules and what will it cost the district?

2. What is the plan for reconstructing the stage for every production and who will be responsible?

3. How much time, in weeks, will the productions have access to the reconstructed stage?

There are a myriad of problems with their intentions, too much to air in this forum.  More background information is available at www.SOS-Carrollton-Oh.org.  We have supplied them with facts and minimum requirements.  Their reference to “as much time as the directors require” is a hedge.  We are not interested in possibilities, we will brook no further dissembling by this administration, we simply require straight answers.
