Violet Eloise (Barringer) Magill

Violet Eloise (Barringer) Magill, 76, of Arrow Rd., Carrollton died March 25, 2008, in Alliance City Hospital following an extended illness.

Born Aug. 18, 1931, in Elkins, WV, she was a daughter of the late Emerson Clifton and Junita Pearl Luzier Gordon.

She was a retired nurse's aide and a homemaker.  She was a member of Carrollton Bible Chapel.

She is survived by four sons, James Henry (Mary) Barringer and Donald Barringer, both of Carrollton, Denver (Betty) Lucas of Sebring, and Gary (Susan) Barringer of Massillon; five daughters, Oscar (Renee) Kohl of Augusta, Wendell (Renetta) Claypool, Brenda Kramer and Gary (Sue) Reardon, all of Carrollton, and Donna Kay McCloy of Massillon; 27 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Barringer in 1987; second husband, Lorrin Magill in December 1998; a daughter, Anita Jane Swager in 1998 and a great grandson, Devon Swager.

Funeral services were held March 27 in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton with Rev. Mike Doak officiating.  Burial followed in Heritage Memorial Gardens in Minerva.
