Wayne D. Cline

Wayne D. Cline, 67, of Sherrodsville died March 27, 2008, in his home surrounded by his family following an extended illness.

Born Sept. 3, 1940, in Jericho, he was a son of the late Warren and Helen Cline of Harlem Springs.

He was a self-employed truck driver, a member of Carrollton Church of God and Teamsters Local 92.

He is survived by his wife, the former Susan Wendell, who he married Dec. 19, 1959; three sons, Lyle V. Cline and Bruce (Jill) Cline, both of Sherrodsville and Tim (Holly) Cline of Midvale; two daughters, Theresa Bennington of Dellroy and Christina (Orvis) Campbell of New Philadelphia; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother and grandson.

Funeral services were held March 31 in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Rev. Carl Fry officiating.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery of Sherrodsville with full military honors provided by the VFW, American Legion and DAV.
