Richard A. "Dick" Cutshall

Richard A. "Dick" Cutshall, 72, of 1199 New Cumberland Road NE, Sherrodsville, passed away March 18, 2008, in Hennis Care Center at Bolivar after a lengthy illness.

Born April 23, 1935, in Canton, he was the son of the late James S. and Anna Neidig Cutshall.

He retired in 1990 as a crane operator for the former Republic Steel Co. at Massillon.  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served from 1956-1960, and was stationed in Guam for 1 1/2 years. He was an avid fisherman most of his life and won many trophies and awards in local fishing tournaments.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Shonk Cutshall, whom he married June 18, 1955; five children, Roxanne (Dennis) Jones of Bowerston, Tamera Blankenship of New Philadelphia, Ricky (Cheryl) Cutshall of Sherrodsville, Michele Starkey of New Philadelphia, and James E. Cutshall of Somerdale; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral services were held March 22 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with Rev. Earl Ankrom officiating.  Interment followed in the Holmes Church Cemetery.
