Martha B. Zak
Martha B. Zak, 86, of Canton passed away March 17, 2008, in Mercy Medical Center.
Born Dec. 5, 1921, in Bergholz, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Maple.
She was a graduate of Bergholz High School; a volunteer at Doctor's Hospital Gift Shop for 10 years and treasurer for Monticello Ladies Eagles.
She is survived by a son, Stanley J. (Janet) Zak of Canton; two daughters, Carolyn (David) Stinziano of Palm Springs, CA. and Diana (Richard) Zollars of Canton; a brother, Tim Maple of Marietta; a sister, Arnetta Beckley of Carrollton; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley T. Zak, whom she married Jan. 23, 1943, and who passed away Feb. 8, 2000; three brothers, Bob Maple, Alvie Maple and James Maple, Jr. and a sister, Jean Sanfillipo.
Funeral services were held March 21 in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton with Rev. Stephen Gifford officiating. Burial followed in Bergholz Cemetery.
