Thomas Vincent Barnhouse

Thomas Vincent Barnhouse, Jr., 71, of Carrollton, passed away March 16, 2008, in Union Hospital in Dover after an extended illness.

Born Oct. 19, 1936, in Dennison, he was the son of the late Thomas Vincent and Margaret Louise Barnhouse, Sr.

He graduated from Wintersville High School in 1955.  He retired after 30 years from Weirton Steel where he was a crane operator.  He was a Carroll County beef farmer since 1969 and a member of Pleasant Hill Church.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years,  Marlene (George) Barnhouse; a son, Thomas V. "Chip" Barnhouse and a daughter, Vincetta (James) Ujcich, both of Carrollton; four grandsons, two great grandchildren and a sister, Arlene (Thomas) Sutton of Carrollton.

Funeral services were held March 19 in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Browning officiating.  Burial followed in Perrysville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Barnhouse's name may be made to Pleasant Hill Church, c/o Marsha Long, 2147 Antigua Rd., S.W., Carrollton, 44615.
