Steven Andrew Javersak

Steven Andrew Javersak, 90, of Meadowbrook Lane, Carrollton died April 12, 2008, in Carroll Healthcare Center of Carrollton following an extended illness.

Born April 13, 1917, in McDonaldton, PA., he was the son of the late Matthew and Magda Michinock Javersak.

He was a former employee of Good Roads Machinery in Minerva and retired as a custodian for Carrollton Schools.  He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Carrollton.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Ann Pozderac whom he married Nov. 24, 1945; two sons, Steven (Shirley) Jr. of Mountain Grove, MO. and Joel (Jean) of Mechanicstown; a daughter, Marsha Schumacher of Alliance; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held April 15 in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Murat officiating.  Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Steve's name to Carroll County Hospice on Trump Rd. Sweeny-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton was in charge of arrangements.
