Vernon A. Gallatin
Vernon A. Gallatin, 64, of Jerusalem passed away March 27, 2008, at Sistersville General Hospital in Sistersville, WV.
Born Oct. 7, 1943, in Canton, he was the son of the late George and Leona Pauline Allman Gallatin.
He retired from Consol Coal Company in 1999 and from Woodsfield True Value in 2007. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Praise Pentecostal Church in Woodsfield, Woodsfield AA Program and was a HAM Radio operator for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Zwick Gallatin, whom he married May 17, 1969; a son, William (Linda) Gallatin of Florida; daughter and caregiver, Mary Beth Gallatin of the home; one granddaughter; brother-in-law, George (Barbara) Zwick of Kensington and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held April 1 at Watters Funeral Home in Woodsfield with Pastor Paul Fegurson officiating. Burial followed in Jerusalem Cemetery with full military honors. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wattersfuneralhome.com. |
