Chester A. Vance

Chester A. Vance, 53, of Minerva died March 15, 2008, in Aultman Hospital following an apparent heart attack.

Born May 31, 1954, in Canton, he was the son of Arden (Edwards) Vance and the late Chester H. Vance. 

He was a steel worker at Republic Steel and a member of the Minerva First Christian Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Tania Vance of Minerva; a son, Dylan Vance of Florida; four grandchildren and Jerry Mills, who was like a stepfather for years.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Friday, March 21, at 7 p.m. in Minerva First Christian Church with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.  Memorial donations may be made to the Minerva Athletic Booster Club. Arrangements by the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva.
