Edwin Franklin Chase, Sr.

Edwin Franklin Chase, Sr. went with the Angels Jan. 22, 2011, at 5 a.m., to be with his mother and father, after a very short illness with pancreatic cancer.

He leaves behind his wife, Veronica "Sissy" Chase; two daughters, Theresa Harmon and Amy Wilkin; a son, Ed "Junior" Chase, Jr.; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Roof and Shirley Matheson; a brother, Chuck Chase; a stepbrother, Charles Forster and many nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply.

He served in the Navy during Vietnam.  He worked as a truck driver for 48 years, last working for Ohio Valley Septic where he was well liked by his boss and those who worked with him.

Funeral services were Jan. 26 in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Thurston officiating.  Burial was in Bergholz Cemetery with full military honors.
