Elsie M. Parker
Elsie M. Parker, 74, of Deerhaven Dr., Carrollton formerly of Missoula, MT, died Thursday morning May 14, 2009, in her home.
Born July 9, 1934, in Laurel, MT, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mabel Schmidt Ludwig.
Elsie loved people, not things, and her generosity knew no end. She always opened her home to friends and family when they had a need and many enjoyed her hospitality while being accepted as part of her family. She spent years working in the church as a Sunday school teacher for all different ages. She especially enjoyed young married people and became a mentor to several.
She moved to Carrollton in 2007 to be closer to her daughter and attended Carrollton Bible Chapel.
She is survived by her husband Dean whom she married Oct. 25, 1952; a son, Shawn Parker of Missoula, MT; a daughter, Dana Aston of Carrollton; seven grandchildren; a sister, Sandy Yeats of Phoenix, AZ; and a brother, Edward Ludwig of Washington.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jami; a sister, Alvena and a brother, Don Ludwig.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 26 at 3 p.m. in Carrollton Bible Chapel with Pastor Barry Koenitzer officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will be held in Montana.
