Josephine Bishel
Josephine Bishel, 97, of Kensington Rd., Carrollton died Friday afternoon, June 4, 2010, in Carroll Healthcare Center at Carrollton following an extended illness.
Born June 18, 1912, in Austria, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anastasia Grudl.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Carrollton.
She is survived by a son, Robert (Anne) Bishel of Carrollton; a daughter, Mary Ann (Emil) Pozderac of Carrollton; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and two brothers, Alois (Gretchen) Grudl and Isadore (Christl) Grudl and two sisters, Albine (Ludwig) Thomas and Magadelina (Fritz) Lansing, all of Germany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, June 12, 1988; a son, John, in 1968; a sister, Johanna Kampert; three brothers, Rudolph, Konrad, and Johann; and an infant brother and sister.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated June 7 in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Marut officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery. Arrangements were under the care and guidance of Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton. |
