Harold Irvin Hohler
Harold Irvin Hohler, Jr., age 75, of Carrollton passed away at his residence Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013.
Born Dec. 11, 1937, in Canton, he was a son of Harold Irvin Hohler, Sr. and Martha Estelle (Miller) Hohler.
He worked for Diebolds for 38 years before retiring. An avid gun enthusiast, he ran Hohler's Gun Shop. He was a pilot and a member of Carrollton Masonic Lodge #124 F & AM, the NRA, and the National Guard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Irene (Bell) Hohler of the residence whom he married July 21, 1978; a son, Harold "Phil" Hohler of Malvern; a stepson, Shannon Newsom of Canton; a daughter, Vicki (Richard) Alkire of Canton; a stepdaughter, Michelle (Mike) Bradway of Leetonia; two brothers, David (Wilma) Hohler of North Canton and Gerald (Joey) Hohler of Dellroy; a sister, Debbie (Martin) Teetzel of Colorado; a son-in-law, Bob Lesh; and 11 grandchildren, Peter, Ian, Stevie, Savan, Nana, Shay, Mia, Brittany, Bryce, Sage and Summer.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Hohler and a sister, Carol Lesh.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. in Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery where full military honors will be provided by the American Legion, VFW, and DAV. Calling hours will be Feb. 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home with Masonic services at 8:45 p.m.
