John Harsh Champer
John Harsh Champer, 83, of Malvern, passed away, Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, in his home.
Born Nov. 6, 1927, in Malvern, he was the son of the late Herman L and Mae (Harsh) Champer.
He was a member of Malvern United Methodist Church and had worked at TRW for 25 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Champer of Kent; two sons, Bill (Karen) Champer of Salisbury, NC, and John R. (Donna) Champer of Malvern; grandchildren Jacob, Marshall, Nolan, John, Adam and Maggie Champer; a sister, Mary Champer of Malvern; two brothers, Ray Champer of Apple Grove, and Herman Junior Champer of Malvern.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bessie Gladys (Fletcher) Champer; sister, Dorothy Champer, and brother, Donald Champer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 8 at 11 a.m. at Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home, Malvern with Rev. Allen Hill officiating. Calling hours will be held Saturday one hour before services. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
