Ronald George Thomas

Ronald George Thomas, age 62, of Carrollton passed away Jan. 4, 2010.

Born Jan. 30, 1947, in Canton, he was a son of the late Blaine B. and Lillian LaVaughn (Gatts) Thomas.

He worked at Wingfoot Film Company.  He graduated from Carrollton High School and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a member of McCook American Legion, VFW of Carrollton and a lifetime member of DAV. 

He is survived by his wife, the former Darlene Kay Ohler whom he married Aug. 14, 1993; three sons, Larry Gene (Stephanie) Thomas of Canton and Toby Neal Thomas, both of Canton and Shane Douglas Thomas of Carrollton; a daughter, Tabitha Lynne (Kevin) Stacy of South Carolina; three brothers, William B. (Barb) Thomas of Baird, Donald (Janet) Thomas of Bowling Green, KY, and Robert Wayne of North Canton and one sister, Betty (Don) Rex of Athens.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 7 at 11 a.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home of Carrollton.  Burial will follow in Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman with full military honors.  Calling hours will be Thursday from 10-11 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
