Samuel V. Martin

Samuel V. Martin, 63, of Canyon Rd. died unexpectedly Monday evening, Dec. 27, 2010, in his home. Born Aug. 4, 1947, in Steubenville, he was a son of the late Guy Vernon and Gladys Elliott Martin.

He was an Army veteran and an independent trucking owner-operator.

He is survived by two daughters, Tammie (Troy) Hooper of Minerva and Melissa (Jerry) Hendershot of Carrollton; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

At Samuel's request, no funeral services will take place and private burial will take place at a future date. Sweeney-Dodd Funeral Home of Carrollton handled local arrangements.
