Thomas W. Christie

Thomas W. Christie, 71, of Meadowbrook Lane, Carrollton, died in his home Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, following a brief illness.

Born Feb. 17, 1938, in Amsterdam, he was the son of the late Thomas and Jane Brown Boone Christie.

He was a retired autoworker from the Ford Motor Company at the Brookpark plant, retiring in 1991.

He is survived by his wife, the former Johanna Pozderac of the home; a son, Thomas (Linda) Christie of Carrollton; two daughters, Michele (Brian) Oleksiak of Seven Hills and Caroline Carpenter of North Ridgeville; two grandchildren, Heather Christie and Alex Ashie; a great granddaughter, Brianna Christie and a brother, Frank (Pat) Boone of Amsterdam.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Walulik.

At Thomas' request, there will be no funeral service or visitation.  Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton coordinated local arrangements.  Memorial donations in Thomas' name may be made to Carroll County Hospice, Trump Rd, Carrollton.
