Marjorie A. Brown

Marjorie A. Brown 81 of Bolivar Rd., WellsvilleMarjorie A. Brown 81 of Bolivar Rd., Wellsville, OH died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, following complications from surgery.

Born March 3, 1930, in New Rumley, she was the daughter of the late Dwight and Hazel (Harmon) Cunningham.

She lived in Adena, OH, for many years and raised her family. She was an LPN and worked in various nursing homes. She graduated in 1947 from Jewett High School and earned her LPN degree from Jefferson Community College. She attended Bethel Presbyterian Church and belonged to the Senior Center in Salineville and Williston Presbyterian Church in Williston, FL.  After living in Florida for a few years, she moved back to the area in 2009.

She is survived by a son, David Brown and his wife, Sandy of Cincinnati, OH; two daughters, Donna Schoff and her husband, Dale of LaPorte, IN, and Diane Palm and her husband, Jim of Wellsville, OH; five grandchildren, Leslie Brown, Cody Brown, Andy Schoff, Michelle Duprey and Amy Duprey; six step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brown, who she married June 13, 1953, and who died in May 2008; and her step-mother, Elizabeth (Boone) Cunningham.

 A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 49319 W. Main St., Harrisville, OH 43974.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Action Agency, Senior Nutrition, 7880 Lincole Place, Lisbon, OH 44432, Bethel Presbyterian Church, 16669 Steubenville Pike Rd., Salineville, OH 43945 or First Presbyterian Church, 247 NE 1st St., Williston, FL, 32696
