James "Jim" A. House
James "Jim" A. House, age 70, of Salineville Rd., NE, Mechanicstown, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Salem Community Hospital.
Born April 13, 1942, in Salineville, he was a son of Hennrietta Josephine (Oates) House and the late Arthur Dean House.
Jim was a construction worker for Local 186 at Steubenville and a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of Fox Twp. Fire Department for 30 years, serving as captain. His family was his pride.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred "Mille" Jean (Roach) House, whom he married Jan. 20, 1962; a son, David (Deidra) House of Thurman; a daughter, Susan (Gary) Harry of Stockport; three brothers, Tony House of Salineville, Dean (Lori) House of Minerva and Terry House of Wellsville; a sister, Diane Brewer of Salineville; and five grandchildren, Makahla Harry, Edward Scott Harry, Jordon House, Madison House, and Morgan House.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a son, James Scott House.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m. at Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow at Baxter's Ridge Cemetery with full military honors. Calling hours are June 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
