Edna M. Allen

Edna M. Allen, age 92, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011, in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness.

Born Aug. 12, 1918, in Harlem Springs, Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late J. Arthur and Nora (McCorkle) Noble.

She was a 1938 graduate of Carrollton High School and a Louisville area resident for 67 years. She retired from HP Products in 1982, prior to which she was employed at the Louisville Root Beer Stand for Warren Boli and Dick Walker. She attended the First Christian Church of Canton and Center Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and embroidery.

She is survived by three daughters, Bessie Mae Anderson of St. Joseph, MO, Verda Arlene Hasch of Canton, and Betty Jane Mottice of East Canton; five grandchildren, Donald R. Anderson and Clarensa (T.J.) Fee, both of St. Joseph, MO, Eric (Dawn) Anderson of Stanfield, NC, Mark Hasch of Malvern, and Rachelle "Rusty" Mottice of East Canton; five great-grandchildren, Eric, Hannah and Donald Anderson of Stanfield, NC, and Russell and Jimmy Mottice of East Canton; three step-great-grandchildren, Dereck Fee of Arizona, and Shawn and Bradley Anderson of Stanfield, NC; one great-great-granddaughter, Marley Mottice of East Canton; one sister-in-law, Susan Barabas of Carrollton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, shewas preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Russell "Rusty" Allen in 1959; one sister, Ethel Noble; and two brothers, Walter and Howard A. Noble.

Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. in Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Graveside services will be Saturday April 30, 2011 at 1 p.m. in Harlem Springs Cemetery. Condolences or fond memories may be shared online at www.sandersfuneralhomes.com.
