Thelma Elizabeth Myers

Thelma Elizabeth MyersThelma Elizabeth Myers born Jan. 31, 1937, to Wilma and Harold Layton, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012.  She was the oldest of 11 children, a devoted wife, and caring and precious mother to her children.

She leaves behind her children, Mary Degarmo (Jake) of Mineral City, John Myers (Becky) of Mt. Pleasant, PA, Paula Myers (Chet) of New Philadelphia, William Myers (Susan) of Amsterdam and Barbie Myers (Bubba Jones) of New Rumley.  Her sisters and brother include Shirley Shaffer of Aultman, PA, Judy Hendricks of Marion Center, PA, and Ed Layton of Indiana, PA.
Thelma was preceded in death by many of her brothers and sisters, and her oldest son, David, in 2009.

A time of visitation with the family will be held Friday, March 2 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Koch Funeral Home, Scio.
