James D. Nign
James D. Nign, age 39, and his wife Meghann Ludwig Nign, 27, of East Liverpool were killed Jan. 19, 2014, in an automobile accident.
Born Aug. 12, 1974, in Canton, he was a son of Edward and Violet (Vickie) Peoples Nign of Carrollton.
Jamie was a graduate of the Carrollton High School Class of 1992 and graduated from Ohio Auto Diesel College of Cleveland.
He was an avid hunter and motor sports fan. He served as a Boy Scout leader for many years, coached soccer, and was a member of the Calcutta Fire Department.
He and his family attended Northside Community Church. He was employed by Dynamic Structures of New Waterford.
He is survived by five sons, Tyler of Lima, Kristopher of Marietta, Zachary of Minerva, and Chayse and Brody of East Liverpool; three daughters, McKenna of Minerva, and Savannah and Payslee of the home; a grandson, Travis Nign of Minerva; and two brothers, Dan and Jeff Nign of Carrollton.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Jarod Nign, and grandparents Blanche and John Nign and Harold Peoples.
Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home with Pastor Jennifer Bare officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.
Calling hours are Jan. 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
