Martha Baxter

Martha Baxter, age 87, of Carrollton passed away Sunday evening Jan. 8, 2012, at Carroll Healthcare Center in Carrollton.

Born July 14, 1924, in Carrollton, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Cora Belle Dray Moore.

She is survived by three sons, Larry (Bonnie) Baxter of Urichsville, Joe (Barb) Baxter of Carrollton, and Jerry Baxter of Alliance; three daughters, Betty (Skip) Baughman, Donna (Butch) Johnson, and Joyce Baxter, all of Carrollton; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a brother, Earl Moore of Waco, TX; and three sisters, Anna Nelson of Alliance, Alberta Catterall of Amsterdam, and Elsie Hary of Salem.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Baxter; two brothers, Kenneth and Harold; and three sisters, Peg, Violet, and Betty.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton. Burial will follow in Harlem Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
