Charles "Bob" Robert Beckley
Charles "Bob" Robert Beckley, age 74, of Carrollton passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, in Aultman Hospital after a short illness.
Born Oct. 1, 1936, in Jewett, he was a son of Melvin "Fuzzy" Earl and Veda Mae (Myers) Beckley.
He was an electrician at PCC for 42 years, retiring in 2002. He drove school bus for United Local School District and was a member of the American Motorcycle Association (AMA). He attended Carrollton United Presbyterian Church and was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, the former Joy E. Craig, whom he married May 5, 1985; three daughters, Kimberly Beckley of Nashville, TN, Kathy (Jerry) Fiene of Santa Fe, TN, and Debbra Byers of Phoenix, AZ; two stepsons, Rick Snider and Mark Snider, both of Statesville, NC; three stepdaughters, Sharon Callejas and Regina Wilson, both of Statesville, NC, and Elaine Snider of Minerva; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and eight step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Gladden and a step grandson, Timothy Endlich.
A memorial service will take place at a later date at Carrollton United Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken place. Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home of Carrollton was in charge of arrangements.
