Mary E. Knight

Mary E. Knight, age 99, of Augusta, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, in Great Trail Care Center. 

Born July 4, 1913, in Colliers, WV, she was a daughter to Charles and Alta (Anderson) Newell. 

She was a housewife and co-owner of Knight's Fruit Farm in Augusta.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Whitacre of San Antonio, TX; son, George (Jacquelin) Knight of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Knight, who died in 1991; sister, Nora Locke; and two brothers, Raymond and Paul Newell.
 
A graveside service will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Augusta Cemetery with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating.  There are no formal calling hours.
