Rosa Iwilda Totten
Rosa Iwilda Totten, 91, of Malvern, died, Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Minerva Eldercare following a short illness.
Born Oct. 10, 1918, in Malvern, she was the daughter of the late Freemont Ross and Kathryn Anna (Houz) Summers.
She worked as the Clerk for Brown Township for 10 years, retiring in 1986. She also worked as a secretary at Furey Motor Service in Malvern.
She is survived by three daughters, Julia M. Davis of Strasburg, Carol L. Makar-Gibbs of Alaska, and Nancy E. Minor of Oklahoma; a sister, Ilene Smith of Bolivar; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family thanks Dr. Stanley Bertman and staff; special thanks to Minerva Eldercare for their wonderful care and all the special people who meant so much to Rosa.
She was preceded in death by parents, her husband Clyde Totten, who will be buried with her; sisters, Alice Smith and Irene O'Hartz and brothers, Lester Summers, Chester R. Summers, and Walter S. Summers.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, in Bethlehem Cemetery, with Rev. Chris Davis officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Minerva Eldercare Christmas Fund. Friends unable to attend may register online at www.bartleyfuneralhome.com. |
