Betty Ruth (Carpenter) Roudebush

Together againBetty Ruth (Carpenter) Roudebush, 84, passed away Oct. 14, 2010.

Born April 23, 1926, in Carrollton, where she lived all of her life except for one year in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

She was a devout, active member of the Church of Christ (Disciples) of Carrollton, Ohio most of her life.

She is survived by sisters, Gladys George of Tallmadge and Donna (Bob) Lind of Englewood, FL, and sons, Wilfred (Christine) Roudebush of Bowling Green and Joe (Lana) Roudebush of Uniontown.  She was grandmother of Christa Smith of Atwater, Craig (Rachel) Roudebush of Canton, Jennifer (Denton) Crawford of Athens, GA, Sarah (Donald) Pulschen of Perrysburg, Matthew Roudebush of Bowling Green, and Kelly Roudebush of Knoxville, TN; and great-grandmother of Alex, Aaron, and Austin Roudebush of Canton, Kyle and Tyler Smith of Atwater, and Jackson Crawford of Athens, GA.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest (2009) of 63 years and nine months; parents Clarence and Edna (Mincks) Carpenter of Carrollton; brother, Clarence Carpenter, Jr. of Bucyrus; and sister, Mary Alice Pyles of Carrollton.

Friends may call at the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home, 129 N. Lisbon, Carrollton, Ohio from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Oct. 16 and are invited to attend a Funeral Service Oct. 17 at Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Mike Doak officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice (Carroll, Stark and Tuscarawas counties), 201 W. Third St., Dover, OH 44622, who served her with passion and love to the end of her life.
