Virgil R. “Skip” Baughman
Virgil R. “Skip” Baughman, Jr., age 66, of 2nd St. NW, Carrollton, died Sept. 1, 2012, in Aultman Compassionate Care Center at Woodlawn in Canton.
Born Dec. 31, 1945, in Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Virgil R. and Dorothy Lois Butler Baughman Sr.
Skip was a retired steelworker for Canton Drop Forge and an avid bowler, bowling in several leagues at Carroll Lanes in Carrollton.
He is survived by his wife, the former Betty Baxter, whom he married March 30, 2009; two daughters, Rachelle Morrison of Massillon and Rita Smith of Rowlett, TX; three sons, John Packard of Arlington, TX, Robert Packard of Ponder, TX, and Scott Packard of Forney, TX; 14 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one brother, Sam Baughman of Grand Rapids. MI.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Baughman.
Burial with graveside services for the family were held in Westview Cemetery, Carrollton.
Services were under the care and guidance of Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Carrollton.
