Ricardo "Rick" Ramirez

Ricardo "Rick" Ramirez, age 50, of Moccasin Rd., Carrollton, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 27, 2011, in Akron General Hospital.

Born Feb. 26, 1961, in Canton, he was a son of Conuto Ramirez of Waynesburg and the late Eleanor Macafoose Ramirez.

He was a pressman for The Canton Repository newspaper.

He is survived by his wife, the former Karen Ulman, who he married Oct. 30, 1982; two daughters, Sarah (Seth) Brown of East Canton and Julia Nicole Ramirez of Carrollton; a grandson, Ethan Richard; and two sisters, Marta Long of Mechanicstown and Alicia Petrovitch of Canton.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Ramirez and a brother, Alex (Ray) Ramirez.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Carrollton with Pastor Mike Reiboldt officiating.  Burial will be in Harlem Springs Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
