Kenneth J. Worth
Kenneth J. Worth, age 66, of the Mechanicstown area passed away unexpectedly June 5, 2010, in his home.
Born May 12, 1944, in Canton, he was the son of the late William Earl and Betty Jane (Keefer) Worth.
He was a 1962 graduate of Canton McKinley High School and Canton Business College. He was retired from a career as a field auditor with the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services and served six years with the Ohio Army National Guard.
He was a member of Greenbrier Church, which he helped construct in 1983 on a parcel of land he and Janet donated from their farm. He was the family's handyman; always ready to help with any project that needed his expertise. He enjoyed hunting for many years and recently was enjoying the hobby of geocaching. He cherished time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Curtiss) Worth, whom he married Sept. 9, 1967; three children, David (DesaRae) Worth and Amy (Zach) Risaliti, both of Mechanicstown and Sara (Jim) Reynolds of New Harrisburg; nine grandchildren, Kalene, Kourtney, Nathan, Alli, Zane, Hayden, Dustan, Montana and Eleesia and a brother, Marty (Debbie) Worth of Hartville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bill Worth and his precious unborn grandson, Jacob.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 27 at 3 p.m. at Greenbrier Church, 5207 Apollo Rd., N.E., located on the Worth Farm. You may honor Kenny with a contribution to your favorite charity. Arrangements were by Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home of Carrollton. |
