Born Sept. 17, 1939, in Columbus, she was a daughter of the late John and Georgia Steele Thompson.

She was a florist for over 30 years, retiring from Bud's Flower Shop in Carrollton.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Carrollton and volunteered many years at the Algonquin Mill Festival, where she was known as the "Doughnut Lady."

She is survived by several cousins, including Evelyn Smith of Canton and Nancymae Scheurer of North Canton; special friend, Tom Spiker of Scio; caregiver, Brenda Kramer; and "her precious little baby" her cat, Mitzy.
She was a kind and loving person and will be missed by many.  The family wants to thank the many loving people who helped Lois over the years and came when she needed them.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 26 at 1 p.m. in Sweeney-Dodd Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Loomis officiating.  Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery at Carrollton.  Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service.
