Sally Toot, 74, of North Canton formerly of Carrollton, died Saturday afternoon, April 21, 2012.
Born Aug. 10, 1937, in Carrollton, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Juanita Long Croy.
She was a retired teacher for Carrollton Exempted Schools. She was a member of several professional associations and won numerous FHA awards. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Patrick (Julie) Toot of Canton; a daughter (Mike) Michaline (Philip) Sanders of Akron; two surrogate children, Brian and Jennifer Schlemmer of Carrollton; a sister, Jane Dixon of Carrollton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Toot, on April 14, 2004.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sam and Neva, Kathy, Dee, Margaret, Vickie, Judy, Marilyn and Nancy.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 25 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Rev. Ed Rinehart officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Carrollton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations in Sally's name may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
