Francis Joseph (Frank) Clark
Francis Joseph (Frank) Clark, 83, of Clover Rd., Mechanicstown died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, in the Hospice inpatient unit of Union Hospital in Dover following a brief illness.
Born Feb. 13, 1927, in Zoar, he was a son of the late Thomas and Grace Palmer Clark.
He was a retired carpenter and retired from Eljer Company of Salem. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of Corinth Presbyterian Church in Mechanicstown.
He is survived by his wife, the former Joyce Ann Sutton Clark, whom he married Oct. 23, 1951; two sons, Frank Clark of Mechanicstown and Mark Clark of Tuscon, AZ; four daughters, Sandy (Elton) Roberts of Canton, Tammy Louise (Rex) Stewart of Thornville, Cindy (Larry) Wood of Carrollton and Amy Sue (Mark) Hayman of Granville; 14 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Earl Clark of Carrollton and a sister, Audrey McNinch of Carrollton.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Rev. James Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Mechanicstown Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
